Tom Lydon konstaterar att åtta av tio aktiva förvaltare inte slår sina jämförelseindex, något som bara ökar tjusningen med passiva börshandlade fonder bland rådgivare och investerare.

Lydon betonade också bioteknik och hälsovårds-ETF: er samtidigt som han säger att han förväntar sig att tjurmarknaden på den amerikanska aktiemarknaden kommer att fortsätta under 2015.

Abner påtalar vikten av utbildning när det gäller handeln med ETFer. WisdomTrees kapitalmarknadschef, Dave Abner, talade med Tom Lydon, utgivare för ETFTrends på Morningstars ETF-konferens i Chicago och diskuterade vikten av en ökad utbildning för dem som handlar med ETFer.

Abner konstaterade att under de senaste åren har utbildningen för handeln med ETFer utbildning börjat bära frukt.

Han säger att ett sätt att mäta effekterna är att se hur kapitalflödena fortsätter när de börshandlade fonderna går ned i pris.

Abner skingrar också uppfattningen att tillgångsnivåerna är viktiga för köpare och konstaterar samtidigt att volymen för en ETF: s på skärmen är att betrakta som en bakåtblickande indikator.

Abner konstaterar också att det är viktigt att investerarna förstår att handeln med en ETF och hur den utvecklas är en direkt funktion av de underliggande tillgångarna i den börshandlade fonden.
